They are now thinking of building a WALL Seriously are these people even attempting to think sensibly. Jeezaloo!!! Haven't they learned anything anything at all from the haunting memories of what a wall did to a once prosperous nation. They have already contemplated partition, and now this.
There is a man sitting on the throne here ranting and raving and throwing himself on the ground crying because he was refused some candy. It is deplorable the way he claims that normal, regular folks don't care about soldier's being killed indiscriminately, and how the democrats are making it into a political issue, it is so deplorable that you feel like laughing as tears scurry down your chin. And then there is Rove who had a row with Crow. I realise the White house is huge and well guarded and stuff, but is it covered with black shades or something. Sitting here I can feel, I am not kidding feel the effects of Global warming. It is close to 90 today and it is going to go to 40 tomorrow. It is necessary that we wake up..Please no more snooze button.

What has Man wrought!!

The Sunderbans delta is one of the largest of its kind in the world. The mangrove forest named after its rare tree Sundari is home to one of the few remaining Tigers in the wild-the only remaining man eating tigers. It is a world Heritage site and unfortunately for us it is rapidly disappearing. The news understandably not covered in the US is alarming and perhaps an indication of what is to come.
Is it just plain ignorance or complacency that makes this country turn away from events like these. Are we so into ourselves that we believe nothing can ever happen to us? It is baffling that when islands are sinking and world temperatures going wack, we are still able to sit on our high chairs and debate whether there is really a thing called Global Warming and how best to fluff it up and sugar coat it for the public. The depressing part is India has still not woken up to something happening in their neck of the woods. Why is the US government so lax about this issue. Yes, people are taking small steps and buying hybrid cars, installing solar panels,but that is just the people. Shouldn't there be some large scale effort to educate the public and implement measures to get through this. The world water levels are set to rise by about 2 feet in the next 30 years. That is well within the lifetime of many of the people reading this. and yet when a forum of scientists gather to talk about it, we are more worried about NY fashion week and the latest movie awards. What more does it take to get the attention of the government which denies that such a thing even exists. Change is required now. We can make our little changes in our lifestyles. It is small step, but one that will enable us to move one foot forward. Born and brought up in our sheltered lives I guess we are not wired to grab the enormity of the situation and magnitude of the problem that this will pose for our world. I am at fault too, for getting caught up in the monotony of life. The truth though is this is happening now and it would be foolish of us to deny it or ignore it. It is not just about the big industries, car factories and agriculture anymore, it is about you and me. It is about how our lives are going to change and how we are preparing to deal with it. The sooner we do the better. It is our world we are taking about and who best to start than us, now, here.

Political Blog.
Why this?!?
Because I feel so. That would be the simple answer.
I have been thinking about this for a while now. First I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep up. I am not even now. I created it and left it unpublished. But watching international obituary as news everyday changed my mind. I am at a good place right now in my life. I am doing what I want and I am living a life that If feel comfortable with. It is the doing what I want part that has made me uncomfortable with the things that happen around the world. This blog is everything the other blog is not. It is about the politics I hear, I feel and I see. It is what I think about what is happening and my view on the state of the world. I am no expert, but I want to give a form to that little voice in my head that urges me to think beyond. I want to wirte and feel in hard format what are but clouds of thoughts in my head. I want to talk.
The poem was a part of Rabindranath Tagore's Gitanjali. I read it when I was in school. Did not hold much relevance then. But it has grown on me since. I have it taped to my wall as an inspiration. It opens my mind when I feel closed. It lifts me when I am down and makes me walk when I feel like slouching off. It also represents what a county must aspire for. Be it the mighty US or the roused up India or the wimpering Iraq. This is a political blog and I am going to write it without fear.
